Extreme Metal and Improvisation with members from ORTHODOX, PYLAR and DOCE FUEGOS.
The sound of Dronespell & The Omega Chord flows without pause, looking for cracks to enter, but without solidifying. Patiently built, always changing, “Sorcery Anomalies” (SR-20, cassette) materializes the joint drive of the three musicians carried to the point of exhausting the instrumentation’s possibilities. Inspired by ’73-75 King Crimson, the dissonant extreme metal currently in vogue, and free improvisation, the trio builds open forms that mutate spontaneously, dynamically, but always dark and heavy. The opening and searching moments ("The Howling In Seconds", "Defiled Are The Heliocentric Children...") contrast with rhythmic and open torrents at the same time ("PainHead Is Torchlit", "A Wellspring In Seven Steps"), exploring a cartography of the absolute, limitless regions that float before disappearing.

I needed a nice lullaby you know. The drums are still forever.
p.s. I do use this for a lullaby, and it works. Me, a non-dreamer, get funny dreams from this. YomaBarr

Jordan Vauvert
