about

"Velá" brings the free improvisation trio Hidden Forces together with the experimental musician Alejandro Rojas-Marcos. These four men have a long history of playing in different projects like Orthodox, Proyecto Ocnos, Orquesta Entenguerengue, Niño de Elche or TRUSS, among countless others. But they also have played together as a four/five piece Orthodox line-up that lasted briefly in 2016, playing at FeMÁS and recording an unreleased session with some of the most adventurous acoustic material of the doom metal band.
This gig was recorded at an anarchist book fair hosted by the people at La Carbonería, legendary space from Sevilla were literature, theater and music has been happening for more than 40 years. Sounding industrial at times, others like a grumpy cartoon, and sometimes meditative in a tense way, "Velá" is like bizarre chamber music gone wrong.
